HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Monimoto motorcycle security system has three components:

1 - THE TRACKER - This small and easy-to-hide device is the heart of the Monimoto system.

The waterproof casing is packed with a motion detector, a GPS tracker, and the hardware to notify you if your bike is being messed with or moved.

The better you hide it on your bike, the safer your bike will be.

2 - THE KEY FOB - Keep this with your motorcycle keys so Monimoto knows when you’re nearby.

3 - THE APP - The app will notify you if your Monimoto tracker detects movement.

If your bike is stolen, your app will reveal its location so your precious ride can be recovered as soon as possible.

When you ride your motorcycle, the key fob disarms the tracker. but when you’re away and the tracker detects movement, it will notify you and activate its GPS tracker if it starts moving.

From that point on, you’ll get constant updates on its location.

HOW DO MOTORCYCLE TRACKERS WORK?
At its most basic, a motorcycle tracker will always relay the location of your motorcycle to you. What makes it so great, however, is just how easy it is to use. No heavy locks to carry around, no alarms to arm - once you’ve completed the setup it’s all automatic.

PAIR THE TRACKER
Install the Monimoto app on your phone and use it to set up your tracker and key fob (instructions included, but the app is intuitive.

INSTALL THE TRACKER
Find a good spot to hide the tracker on your motorcycle. The tracker is quite small so we’ve made it easy.

WEAR THE FOB
Keep the fob with you when you ride your motorcycle (an obvious choice is putting it on your key ring or in your jacket). Whenever it moves and the fob isn’t present, the tracker will notify you with a silent alarm and begin sending you its location.

HOW TO INSTALL A GPS TRACKER ON YOUR MOTORCYCLE
With a wire-free tracker, installation is so easy that the essential question becomes “where should I hide my tracker?” This is probably the most fun part of installing the Monimoto motorcycle GPS device. The best hiding spot will be different for every bike, but the most important thing is that it’s hard to find. Some ideas include:

• In a luggage compartment;
• Under the seat;
• Inside a fairing;
• Under the gas tank;

Remember - the Monimoto motorbike tracker is waterproof (IP6X) and its efficient engineering keeps it running for a year or more on just two AA batteries. That means that exposure to water is OK and it won’t need any wiring, making it very easy to install anywhere.

HOW MOTORCYCLE TRACKER WORKS

1. HIDE THE TRACKER
Conceal the Monimoto tracking device securely on your motorcycle. Place the GPS antenna pointing up for the best signal. The harder your tracker is to find, the better your chances are of recovering your bike if it's stolen.

2. DISARM TRACKER WITH THE KEY FOB
The Monimoto tracker disarms as soon as it detects your paired Monimoto Key Fob. All you need to do is have the Key Fob with you - no buttons. We suggest carrying it somewhere in your riding gear separately from your keys so you don't lose it.

3. ARM TRACKER BY REMOVING THE KEY FOB
As soon as you (and your Monimoto Key Fob) leave your motorcycle behind, the tracker won't be able to detect your Key Fob anymore. When that happens, the tracker arms itself and its motion detector. If anyone - from thieves to rowdy kids - handles your bike, it'll know.

4. TRACKER SENDS ALERT WHEN IT DETECTS MOVEMENT
When the Monimoto tracker is armed and detects movement, it checks for the Key Fob one last time. If it can't be found, the tracker enters Alarm Mode and sends you notifications about a possible theft in progress.

5. TRACKER CALLS AND SENDS GPS COORDINATES
Within a minute after detecting movement and not detecting your Key Fob, the Monimoto tracker calls you on your phone. After that, it will start regularly sending its GPS coordinates to your Monimoto app and will continue updating them until it stops moving. When movement stops, you will receive a notification and after approximately 30 minutes - the final location of the vehicle.
