Nitron ADV Series XTREME with HPA Shock - CRF1000 (2016 >)

Specifically designed and built for the large capacity Dual Sport and Adventure bikes, the Nitron Adventure Series shocks offer exceptional year-round road and trail performance like no other.

Using billet aluminium components, with Titanium finish and Hard Anodised coatings, Nitron Adventure shocks vastly improve the ride/handling of the bike at a significantly reduced weight compared to a standard shock.

Using this well proven NTR ADV platform, incorporating its rugged high-flow 46mm piston and a larger diameter 16mm rod for strength, Nitron have created a shock that sets new standards in performance, outright ability and refinement.

Focusing on how ultimate performance could be sustained throughout extremely arduous and prolonged use, a few unique components have been designed and manufactured specifically for the CRF1000 Africa Twin application.

One example is the all new large capacity reservoir which is ‘piggybacked’ and offset onto the main shock body, being shorter than a standard reservoir to enable clearance with the swingarm when the suspension is fully compressed - just as the original Honda fitment. Tests have shown that this design gives optimum dispersal of heat whilst enabling excellent fine tuning of small bump ride performance.

Each shock is custom built and tuned for the individual rider, being valved and sprung to your specific weight requirements. 

As with all Nitron shocks, these all new CRF1000 Africa Twin NTR ADV shocks come with a 2 year Warranty, and uniquely Nitron offer a rolling 12 month parts and labour warranty on all shocks that are serviced by a Nitron Approved Service Centre.

The NTR ADV XTREME shock is a high performance gas monotube type damper (NOT Emulsion) where the gas is separated from the oil by a piston.

Once you have ordered your NTR ADV XTREME shock absorber we will contact you to obtain your weight and riding details. Every shock is made to order and using this information we can specify the optimum valving and spring rate. Your given weight should be as accurate as possible and include all standard riding gear (helmet, leathers etc).

As each shock is hand-built specifically for you, please allow up to 21 days for delivery.

In 2008, Nitron moved to a new facility in the UK’s ‘Motorsport Valley’ in line with the company’s expansion programme. Nitron shocks are billet machined and hand built entirely in the UK. Each fully-serviceable shock is customised to your specific spring and damping configuration requirements by our highly experienced team. Aesthetics also play a vital part of our design process to ensure that the look and feel of our shocks rank among the best in the world.

Nitron benefits from a design team with an accumulated experience covering machining, materials technology, hydraulics, bike engineering and F1 racing. Many even have experience as competitive drivers and riders themselves. Every shock in the NTR range is based on a modular design and stems from the same standardised race parts. This means that Nitron is able to rapidly manufacture shocks from the same components used to set Nurburgring lap records without the associated costs.
