The Yamaha 700 Tenere has so much to love, but its stock exhaust? That’s a different story. It’s a bit of a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde situation. Sure, it looks and sounds great, but it’s positioned low and wide, hanging off a long exhaust hanger welded to the subframe. When the bike takes a tumble on the right side, the hanger can bend, causing the muffler to grind into the swingarm. If you don’t bend it back before riding again, the steel muffler can gouge into the aluminum swingarm (check out the photos). After enough falls, you could even crack the hanger at the subframe.

Having dealt with this frustrating damage ourselves, we created a solution. The Rally Bend High Exhaust Kit raises the muffler up much higher and closer to the bike’s centerline, protecting it from harm. To make this work, we designed a new link pipe and a shorter bracket, drastically reducing leverage on the hanger by about 50%. Now, your exhaust stays safe even when the trail gets rough.

Kit includes:

• 304 stainless steel “Lobster-Back” link pipe with wire heel guards for rider and pillion
• CNC billet 6061 aluminum clamp that’s anodized for durability. The patent-pending bracket is easy to install and shortens the hanger for greater protection.
• All necessary fasteners, springs, exhaust clamps, graphite seal, and Camel ADV decals.
• Signal Light Heat Shield

Important Compatibility Notes:

• The OEM and Akrapovic mufflers are not compatible with this kit.
• Yamaha’s GYTR rear fuel tanks are not compatible with this kit.

Aftermarket headers:

They can be used as long as it has the same outlet diameter as the OEM. Some brands, like Akrapovic and Scorpion, have a different outlet size, and they are not compatible with other link pipes (like ours). Dominator and Leo Vince headers are compatible with our high exhaust set-up.
