Your BMW R1150GS should function on both dirt roads and asphalt roads, for both off-road riding that’s a bit rougher, and comfortable cruising along tarmac roads. At Öhlins we have therefore developed this front shock absorber that satisfies these apparently conflicting demands.

Like all shocks from Öhlins, those developed for Dual Sport are based on advanced technology, special materials and careful testing. Dual Sport shocks are based technically on motorcross and enduro with all that is involved in terms of handling extreme pressures over a long period. However, they differ from them primarily in that they are tested and optimally adjusted so that they also have great comfort and safety when riding on asphalt. By improving the performance of these shocks, they are therefore able to handle forest trails, dirt roads and surfaced public roads.

The front shock for the BMW R1150GS is tailor-made for this bike. For instance, besides functioning on “raw” surfaces with respect to bottoming resistance, they also provide excellent comfort, stability and balance, both off-road and on surfaced roads.

Due to the fact that Dual Sport bikes have to deal with such widely varying areas of use, we have naturally fitted the shocks for these bikes with a very broad range of adjustments.

You are consequently able to do some off-road riding in the morning, and load up your panniers and hit the road in the afternoon, using the same shocks with their excellent qualities and durability the whole time.

The wind deflectors are made here in the UK from 4mm clear polycarbonate, and the fixing holes are pre-drilled.

All fixings are included.

Please note that these wind deflectors will only fit the R1150GS and R1150GSA with Tobinators fitted.

Dakar Leather Toolbag

This bag is an exact replica of the leather toolbags that competitors used in the Dakar during the 1980’s.

Manufactured locally in the New Forest by a Master Saddler in 5mm English Oak Bark Tanned Bridle Leather and 100% hand stitched, this is a very high quality Toolbag that will last you a lifetime.  We will also provide a tin of leather care so you can keep it in tip top condition.

The top of the bag is double-folded with strong velcro, giving exta durability and weather resistance.  Strap buckles are brass.

Base of the bag is additionally strengthened with a handstitched 5mm leather patch, meaning it won't lose shape or wear away when in use.

To attach to your bike, just pop the 2 straps under your rack and it's ready to go.

Approximate size is 20cm long (front to rear), 26cm wide (left to right), and 14cm high (top to bottom).  Please note that sizes may vary slightly as each is handcut and stiched.

These Fork Guards were designed from experience gained in riding thousands of miles in all weathers.

Effectively protects the most exposed part of the fork from dust, dirt and stones.

Essential protection for off-road, however still very effective against insects and tar for tarmac riders.

Includes both right and left Fork Guards with all necessary fittings and clear instructions to mount – installs in under 5 minutes.
