Protect your throttle mechanism from damage if you drop your bike offroad.
We've designed and manufactured these at the request from a customer who dropped his bike whilst riding offroad - and a fallen branch had gone into the side of his T7 and stripped the throttle cable out of the mechanism. Strange but true!!
As this is a structural part of the bike, being an engine hanger, we've kept to using high strength steel and powdercoated them, rather than going down the lightweight aluminium route.
To make installation easier, we've used a captive nut behind the lower forward mounting point so you can keep your sanity when installing the guard.
This is a direct replacement for the existing engine stay (the lower part is dimensionally the same size and bend as the Yamaha original) with the additional guard part for the throttle mechanism now included.
NOTE: Do not compare this to flat aluminium copies from the Far East - this is a completely superior product designed with the correct bend for an exact fitment and using superior materials as it is a structural component.
