When BMW decided to rely on water cooling in its new boxer engines from 2013. This meant that optimum performance could be combined with a long service life. 

With its technically perfect implementation, the system has just one weak point: the sensitive radiator.
The Touratech radiator guards protect the vulnerable lamellae of the radiator against damage and thus provides an enormous safety benefit!  The dread of flying stones, sticks or other debris will be no more. A small investment will make your trip a whole lot safer!

Optically unobtrusive yet in the unmistakeable Touratech-style, the radiator protector made of laser cut, stainless steel blends in with the GS design perfectly.

Note: The radiator cover can cause the engine to overheat under extreme conditions with high outside temperatures and an extreme engine load.

Stainless Steel Crash Bar BMW R1250GS

No matter which way the GS should fall, the Touratech crash bar is right where it is needed. The most comprehensive all-round protection there has ever been for a boxer engine!

A "cage" of 25-mm strong, 2-mm thick stainless steel tubes completely encloses the cylinders. Any forces that occur are safely deflected and distributed to gently break them down. Numerous assembly points, intended bending points and the central strut guarantee safe protection not only of the cylinders, but also of the frame and engine of your R1250GS.
Despite the impressive tube diameter, the crash bar is positioned as closely as possible and symmetrically to the vehicle axis. It has practically no effect on the lean angles or ground clearance.
It blends perfectly with the looks of the R1250GS, completing the overall appearance - and is simply a part of it all!

Made exclusively of strong, electropolished stainless steel, the crash bar will not rust. Even deep scratches are less frightening, and can simply be ground off.
The assembly points are perfectly matched to the R1250GS! And needless to say, everything that is needed to fit it is included in the delivery.

Stainless steel reinforcing strut for original BMW engine crash bar, BMW R1250GS / R1250GS Adventure

The BMW engine crash bar on the R 1250 GS isn't a proper crash bar until you fit the Touratech reinforcing strut! The additional supporting point is the key to providing maximum safety.

In terms of design and appearance, it perfectly matches the BMW engine crash bar on the GS since it is the same diameter and has an electropolished surface.

Made from sturdy 25 mm stainless steel tube, the reinforcing strut is very easy to fit thanks to a new fastening system.

The Touratech reinforcing strut provides lots of additional benefits at little cost or effort!

Cylinder Protection Aluminium (Set) for BMW R1250GS / R1250R / R1250RS / R1250RT

Whether it's a bump when manoeuvring in a narrow garage, a rock fall on the motorway or a fall after a strenuous stage - the cylinders of the BMW Boxer are quickly scratched. In the worst case, the valve cover even gets a hole and the journey is abruptly ended.

The complex construction of the shiftcam mechanism of the R1250 series in particular requires special protection. Touratech developers have designed this cylinder protection especially for this purpose.

The unique design of the 4 mm thick aluminium part guarantees effective protection, high stability and gives your BMW a sporty, modern look. The aluminium protector encloses your cylinder like a protective sheath.

Thanks to the well thought-out design, the forces are kept away from the valve cover in case of a fall. An impact with expensive consequences turns into a slide with a small scratch on the protector.

For combination with the original BMW engine guards (R 1250 GS Adventure), please remove its rubber element.

This effect is dramatically reduced by the extension for the front upper beak. The front of your bike, and  you, will stay cleaner for longer. Stone dings and scratches are minimised!
